MMMusicworks is excited to announce the newest addition to our teaching staff Tobias Meis. He started out playing the bass when he was as tall as the instrument and hasn’t looked back. Tobias’ passion for music and his incredible background will fit in perfectly with our outstanding faculty. Music Meets Fine Foods

foodies-logoWhat could be better than joining the enthusiastic teachers and students of Musicworks in a night of terrific music and exceptional food and drink? Come out and listen to everything from classical to Pink Floyd (performers include Kasey Costello with Terry Tufts, The Koster Brothers, Gabe Rudyk, Victor Maltby with Denise Gvozdanovic and MORE!). Music starts at 8pm so be prepared for a night you’ll never forget. Sign up for lessons with Musicworks School of Music this evening and get 5 lessons for the price of 4!

Prairie Oyster Postponed

Unfortunately we’re faced with the necessity of postponing our festival until next year. We will not rest on our laurels, however! We’re planning a concert series at The Old Town Hall to raise money for our Festival Park plans for 2011. Check out www.mavfest.ca for details!

Rock Opera Revue

guitar_rock_music-babakCoolest summertime music-making op this year – a combination of private lessons and band time, learning rock opera classics. Pink Floyd’s The Wall, The Who’s Tommy, throw in some Beatles from their classic movies and more!!  Experience being in a band and how it works when you play with other musicians and then stage the tunes in the fall. August 9 – 20.  $275 gets you in.
